For buyers
You pay the seller's asking price plus a flat 5% reTrippr fee. That total is shown on every listing — there is nothing extra to add at checkout.
Example: on an £800 holiday you pay £840 (£800 + £40 fee).
For sellers
When your holiday transfers, reTrippr deducts a 5% success fee (calculated on the price the buyer pays) and the operator's name-change fee. A 5% reserve is held and released to you 7 days after departure.
Example: an £800 asking price with a £50 name-change fee returns you £708 in total.
Where the money goes
Worked example: £800 asking price, £50 operator name-change fee.
| Buyer pays | £840 |
| Seller receives (of which £42 is a reserve released 7 days after departure) | £708 |
| reTrippr fee (5% buyer fee + 5% seller success fee) | £82 |
| Operator name-change fee | £50 |
Why a reserve is held
The 5% reserve covers any issue that surfaces right after departure. If none does, it's released to the seller 7 days after the holiday begins.
If the operator fee changes
If the operator's name-change fee comes in higher than quoted, reTrippr absorbs the difference (up to a set limit) rather than passing it on to the seller.
